CHLA Paid Summer Internship Opportunity

The Saban Research Institute of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, a leader in pediatric research, is offering up to 24 paid summer research internships for the 2025-26 Samuels Family Latino and African American High School Internship Program, better known as LA-HIP. LA-HIP is for rising seniors (current juniors) with an interest in a career in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) and who attend public high schools in greater Los Angeles. LA-HIP combines biomedical research with intensive college counseling workshops, academic enhancement, and Princeton Review SAT preparatory curriculum. 

 

2 virtual informational sessions will be held in November and January. Register for information sessions HERE.

 

The summer program begins June 16th, 2025, and ends with the Science Symposium in early August. The internship is daily Monday through Friday for this seven-week period.  The program provides a stipend, Metro pass, and meals in the hospital cafeteria. CalTech Cosmos

Caltech Cosmos, a FREE special event hosted by the Caltech Undergraduate Office, is designed exclusively for high school sophomores and juniors graduating in 2026 or 2027. 

Caltech Cosmos will take place on Monday, May 19 and will be a passport to exploring the exciting opportunities awaiting students in STEM fields. Students will hear from current Caltech students about their educational journeys and receive expert guidance from the admissions office staff on preparing a strong STEM admission application.

LAUSD Paid Summer Internships-11th Grade Students

The Los Angeles Unified School District is proud to introduce the 2025 Summer of Learning Internship Program, offering LAUSD "Rising Seniors" a hands-on opportunity to explore careers in public education. Through this immersive experience, students will intern at school offices, district offices, or Beyond the Bell/LA’s Best elementary school programs. Participants will gain valuable insight into the diverse career paths within LAUSD while earning as they learn.

Qualifications: 

  • Applicants must be a LAUSD Rising Seniors (entering the 12th grade in Fall 2025) 
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Available to commit 20–30 hours per week from June 16, 2025, to August 8, 2025. 

Ideal candidates are motivated students with a strong work ethic, a passion for learning, and a willingness to take on new challenges. Applicants should also have an interest in public education and community service, with a desire to make a meaningful impact in their community.

UCLA MedReach Healthcare Seminar and Mentorship Opportunity

MedReach at UCLA is pleased to invite high school students to our in person “Ready for Healthcare” Seminar on Sunday, May 18, 2025 10am-12:30pm on the UCLA campus!
