Individualized Education Programs

All students with individual education programs are now integrated into general education classes using the full-Inclusion model. Almost from the day that Northridge Academy High School opened its doors, it has had a reputation as being a great school for students with extra needs because of its small size, dedicated and trained teachers and aides, and its inclusion and co-teaching model. 

Full Inclusion is more than sitting in a general education class; it only is truly inclusion when a child is learning and meeting IEP goals with their typical peers, not in self-contained classrooms.  In this program, students will have two teachers in some of their classes who work together as co-teachers. 

IEP students also benefit from an additional class in their schedule to work on homework and have extra time for reading.
