Heart Program

Heart Program at NAHS
 
The NAHS Heart Program is the campus voice for restorative justice, conducted during Advisory, led by Ms. Glynn, in Room 216. In addition to being a 12th-grade advisory, students run the weekly Heart Community Building Circles and design community-building activities for the school. Participating students earn a Heart Cord for graduation.

Heart Program Activities
 
The NAHS Heart Program is dedicated to creating a welcoming and positive community of students and staff on campus. Members a part of the Heart Program are responsible for creating and leading activities that promote a safe and caring environment in school. Here are a few examples of the projects Heart Program have done in the past:
 
  • Heart Circles for all advisory groups 
  • Stickers with positive affirmations placed on student lockers
  • Chalk decorating with encouraging messages in the quad
  • Fundraising for charity programs
  • Community service opportunities
